Drivers Ed

Good Afternoon,

First, we hope your families are healthy and safe during this time. The Driver Education department wanted to reach out and provide information in response to the emails we have been receiving. We know you have questions, and we want to keep you updated.

The #1 question being asked is when will my student drive? We are evaluating how this statewide school closing will effect the behind-the-wheel portion of the class. We are currently working with the administration to create a revised driving schedule that will begin once school resumes.

Our priority right now is online learning. While we have already completed the classroom portion of the driver education course, it will be very productive for the students to review the materials that we will be posting. We want the students to be as prepared as possible for when it is their turn to drive.

We will be sending out classroom review activities this week. We will be available via Zoom and email to communicate with both students and parents. We just wanted to reach out and let our students and their families know we are as anxious as they are to get back to school and start driving again.

Please respond to your student’s driver education teacher and let him know if access to technology is available. Technology is required if your student chooses to participate in the online re-view.

The link below is how we will communicate with our students. Please check this frequently for review activities, important documents, zoom conference times, and any updates we may have for you.

Thank you,

Mr. Lloyd, Mr. Wandless and Mr. Dixon
